How can I edit an existing task?

OPTION 1: TASKS DASHBOARD METHOD

STEP 1:

Navigate to the DealerAccelerate Home Screen. This page can be accessed by clicking the DealerAccelerate logo on the Navigation Menu at the top of your screen (Fig. 1). By default, the Tasks Dashboard will be displayed.

STEP 2:

From the Tasks Dashboard, select the existing task you wish to edit. Keep in mind, the Tasks Dashboard is divided into three sections: Assigned To Me, Assigned By Me, and All Task In The Company. Toggle between sections by clicking the applicable button above the top right corner of the Tasks list (Fig. 2).

By clicking on the task, two buttons will appear in the “Status” column: “Complete” and “Edit” (Fig. 3). To change task details, click “Edit.”

This will bring up the Task record (Fig. 4)

From the Task record, you can edit task details or the task history, which displays as a list at the bottom of the Task record. When you’ve made all necessary changes, click the “Save” Button located in the top right corner of the Task record. This will return you to the Tasks Dashboard and a notification will appear in the top right corner of your screen to indicate the Task has been successfully updated.

 

OPTION 2: INVENTORY LISTING METHOD

STEP 1:

Click the “Inventory” link on the DealerAccelerate navigation menu, located at the top of your screen. This will take you to the Inventory Dashboard. 

STEP 2:

From the Inventory Dashboard, select the vehicle that you want to create a new task for. This will take you to the Inventory Listing Summary tab.

STEP 3:

From the Inventory Listing Summary tab, click the “Tasks” tab located at the top of the Inventory Listing (Fig. 1). This will take you to the Tasks list for the specific vehicle listing.

From the Tasks list, select the existing task you wish to edit. By clicking on the task, two buttons will appear in the “Status” column: “Complete” and “Edit” (Fig. 2). To change task details, click “Edit.”

This will bring up the Task record (Fig. 4)

From the Task record, you can edit task details or the task history, which displays as a list at the bottom of the Task record. This will return you to the Inventory Listing’s Tasks list and a notification will appear in the top right corner of your screen to indicate the Task has been successfully updated.
