How do I generate Sales Documents?

STEP 1:

Navigate to the Sales screen by clicking the “Inventory” link on the DealerAccelerate navigation menu, located at the top of your screen. This will take you to the Inventory Dashboard.

STEP 2:

Select the Inventory Listing for which you want to begin a new sale. This will take you to the Summary tab of the Inventory Listing.

STEP 3:

In the Inventory Listing, click the Sales tab located on the Inventory Listing navigation menu (Fig. 1). This will take you to the Sales Record Summary page.

STEP 4:

From the Sales Record Summary page, click the “Sales Documents” link from the Sales Record navigation menu, located on the left side of the Sales Record (Fig. 2).

This will take you to the Sales Documents screen (Fig. 3).

By Default, DealerAccelerate is capable of generating four sales documents:

  • 1.    Bill of Sale
  • 2.    Odometer Disclosure Statement
  • 3.    Buyers Guide
  • 4.    Disclaimer of Warranties 

These documents pull information from the Inventory Listing and plug them into your dealership’s stock forms.

STEP 5:

Click “Preview” to review the document to ensure all information is accurate. The preview document will open in a separate tab on your Internet browser. Preview documents CANNOT be edited. To make changes, find the applicable field in the Inventory Listing and make the change there. Once you’ve reviewed the document, close the tab and return to DealerAccelerate.

STEP 6:

Click “Generate” to create a downloadable file (Fig. 4). A notification will appear in the top right corner to indicate the final version of your sales document has been created.

To download the file, click the “Generated” link in the status column. This will open up the PDF in a new tab. Simply right click the document and choose “Save As” to save the document to your desktop.  

After a document has been created, you may still make changes to your Inventory Listing. To update the final version of your sales document, click the “Re-Generate” button. A dialog box (Fig. 5) will pop up to confirm you wish to re-generate the sales document. Click “OK.”

You can now download the updated document by clicking the “Generated” link in the sales document’s Status section. Another notification will appear in the top right corner to indicate the final version of your sales document has been created.
